With a rapidly changing climate and rising energy prices, the European Union and the rest of the world are tightening their belts to save money. Businesses and companies operating in Lithuania need to comply with EU requirements and contribute to common savings targets for each country.
In 2017, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania, EPSO-G, Amber Grid and Litgrid entered into an energy savings agreement. The agreement provides for Amber Grid to save at least 122.5 GWh of energy by the end of 2020. Energy efficiency improvement measures may be introduced for energy end-users.
